How do you define “Sacrifice”?

The word ‘Sacrifice’ has many meanings. The most popular definition of the word is:

“The surrender or destruction of something prized or desirable for the sake of something considered as having a higher or more pressing claim” – dictionary.com

I have a problem with this word when people use it in correlation to achieving their goals. When people say I have to sacrifice this or that, it puts a negative connotation on something that is considered a significant cause. Putting something off that is of less importance shouldn’t be considered a sacrifice. Fun is short term, and so are certain material things. If you decide to save money for a new car instead of buying a dress, then that’s considered a smart decision for your long term goals. Feel proud that you can stick to the steps needed to achieve what you want, and not be distracted. When the term sacrifice comes into play that’s never good. The definition of the word to me is negative. The very words you say have power. When you use a negative word to describe  something positive, it reverses the positive result of what you want. Focus on the positive in everything you do so you can generate the good vibes needed to achieve your goals. Refuse to acknowledge words like can’t and sacrifice because none of these words should be relevant in your future endeavors.

Clear Your Mind!

My goal for gardening is to be able to create an environment that will help me to relax and clear my mine. I want to build a kind of sanctuary in my back yard (when I get my house) so that I can escape the busy every day hustle and bustle. Gardening is something I’ve always loved, so to be able to grow my own food and create my own paradise is a plus for me. I suggest this for everyone. Maybe not a garden, but create a space where you can clear your mind. It should be clean and filled with everything you love… not like, but LOVE! Whether it be a garden, or a room with pictures of your loved ones, be sure to make it 100% your comfort get away. If finding your own space isn’t possible, then a simple walk in a beautiful park among nature could do the trick. Clearing your mind makes a world of difference. It’s calming and can help clear your mind of stress.

What other methods could one use to be at ease? Comment Below ;)

You are loved!

PinkHeart

Imagine one day being able to wake up and immediately start on what YOU wanna do. Imagine turning your life into a nonstop joy ride filled with limitless possibilities? Now stop imagining, take everything you dreamed of and turn it into your reality. EASE ON DOWN to HAPPINESS!

That’s right! When I say ease, I mean to live your life the way it was meant to be lived; in joy and fulfillment. Maybe all your life you’ve been told that in order to be happy you need to do A B C then X Y Z.  Maybe you followed the rules and ended up not being satisfied with the outcome. Unfortunately our parents may or may not have guided us on the right paths according to what we like and who we are. The whole structure of this society makes one think that everyone must go to college or aim for the same things or else their chances of success are slim. All of us have different goals. Honestly I don’t know why some teenagers who graduate high school choose to jump right into college. I understand that they want to finish on time, but what’s the rush? So many young people end up changing their minds due to their exposure to the real world. I guess this is why some freshmen change their major a million times before they figure out what they really want to do. If I knew what I know now back then, I would have probably backpacked through Europe. I did study abroad, but I feel backpacking would have been a different kind of exposure, and cheaper. My only hope is that you treat yourself as an individual. Find out what it takes for you to achieve your goals. I did go to college, but honestly, if I had to do it over again, I would have worked, saved up, and started my own business. I probably would have taken 1 or 2 courses in business, and then the rest I would have taught myself through books. Actually having experience in the job you want is way more useful. I’m grateful for my experience regardless of any mistakes I’ve made. Lucky for you; I can share my knowledge and help YOU avoid the irritatingly pricey mistakes. If for any reason you feel as though your mistakes are what is breaking you down, please click here for an article that will help you understand that mistakes are absolutely helpful on the road to success.

Take care and good luck in your endeavors :)
