The Mental Plane…πŸŒ±πŸ““βœπŸΎ

It’s incredible just how powerful FEAR is. It’s something that’s looked at in different perspectives. In one instance; fear is supposed to make you aware of impeding danger, and keep you alert, aware, and even responsible. In another instance it’s a killer of dreams, and keeps one in despair. How do I deal with fear? Well first let me tell you what my fears USE TO be.

I say use to, because I don’t fear anymore. It does nothing for me. Really, I know that most of the time; I’m in my head too much. I tend to be very hard on myself. I have a tough time with discipline, but I work on it every day. If you have a something that you need to work to become better at, then finding a hobby that helps you dominate a challenge helps. For example, my issue is discipline, so to work on that; I decided to start a mini garden. Currently, I am growing seedlings to plant in a few weeks, outside. Building a garden takes great discipline and patients. It’s the perfect means to build my confidence too.

Seeing results will help me evolve and conquer my fear of not finishing things I start. The motivation will pull out the WILLPOWER necessary to achieve my greatest goals, which I’m not sharing until I do it. I don’t believe in sharing certain hopes, dreams, and aspirations of mine until I do it, because unfortunately; not everyone wants to see you achieve them. The energy and envy that comes with those fearful of you getting what YOU want before they do, is not worth it. You’d be surprised at who is secretly rooting against you. But let’s not focus on them; instead we’re going to stay positive and work on ourselves. Find hobbies that help you overcome personal self challenges in your life. And don’t say there’s none; there is. If you really want to be the master of your world you have to become the best YOU possible, and never stop improving on yourself. Stop talking about it and do something about it!

Author Advice…πŸ“šπŸ€©πŸ€³πŸΎ

This is the post I’m doing before the release of my second Novel. I will also be doing more YouTube videos. The one thing I hate is social media, but it’s undeniable in this day and age that you MUST be apart of it, in any career. Yes; I may not like it, but I know as an Author it’s necessary for the type of books I write. Tips for you as an Author:

Keep motivated, and have a different perspective on things that my be a little uncomfortable.

For me, it’s this social media…thing. I may not want to use it for my personal life, but I will for my AUTHOR life. Trust me; my author life is way more interesting than the personal. I’ve had some trying times, as I’m sure most of the world has. I must say though; I think everyone pushed through. Even with the state of things as we speak; I can pull the good from it all and see people come together and support the best they could. It’s so much on the mind; it’s no wonder most of us are able to create or even finish projects. Whether you write, or do anything else artistic. To be a creator in this world, is powerful. Continue to do your work…continue to inspire everyone!

I AM the Business…πŸ¦πŸ’–πŸ€‘

Now; I am the business. I wanted to SCALE my freelance business, thinking about expanding and getting people on, but then I realized that I don’t need anyone but myself… at least for now. Work with what you have; be an Icon in your own right.

I am a Fashion Writer. It use to bother me when people referred to me as a blogger; because I felt like I did so much more than just represent fashion. I wrote for companies, and not myself. Well now I think it’s time for me to really invest in myself. Granted, I still love writing and getting πŸ€‘ paid for it, but now it’s time to actually BE the business and not hide behind my portfolio. I feel more accepted and have officially thrown away the idea that I have to be “a certain way” in order to do things…not sure if that makes sense to you, but eventually it will. I’m using my platform to share, express fashion, and get closer to my followers. Thank you in advance. πŸ’‹ AND Quirky Bombshell is me. I just need to show more of my fashion side….Follow and subscribe to my site. I have the ability to give people who signup for my FREE membership; EXTRAS… Lets connect! πŸ˜πŸ‘

Humble Beginnings …πŸ˜†πŸ€ͺ❀️

There are many ways to get practice as a newbie writer. I use to contribute to Wikifashion.com a long time ago, when they were in business. It was right around the time I started on fiverr.com. I wrote a few info pages on designers using HTML. I have to say it was a challenge at first because of the markup they used, but my drive to be a helpful part of the fashion community inspired me to support. I even got a cute recyclable bag from them. I also was on IFB.com and Chictopia.com, but not as a contributor of writing; I was a fashion blogger. I’d link my Chictopia page, but I think my account was deleted. Maybe it’s for the best; those outfits were…um…I don’t want to talk about it. If I find the images I will post them, because fashion is all about evolution, right? I can’t be ashamed of my humble beginnings…neither should you. If you’re passionate about writing; doing it for free is inevitable. Enjoy the process and be proud to start.

Update: Here is the link. To my Chictopia page πŸ€¦πŸΎβ€β™€οΈπŸ˜πŸ˜¬

Becoming a Niche Writer…βœπŸΎπŸ’‹πŸ‘›

There’s not much to becoming a writer; anyone can do it. But if you want to become a good writer, a great writer, even an excellent one; you must find your niche. For start, write for yourself. Yes, write in a journal by hand, then type with a focus on something you love. For me, it was fashion. I’ve been writing for years professionally, but before that it was for free, and for my own leisure. That’s why I suggest you do that first, and get that discipline engine running.

Maybe you’re turned off by the fact that you’ll be writing for free for quite a bit before you start getting paid. If so, then maybe you need to rethink becoming a writer. I don’t mean to sound discouraging, but the reality is that your work must speak for itself. If you write well, then you’re sure to get paid, but it takes time to get there. Writing is a passion driven profession. If it’s not something you see yourself doing for free, then pursue something you know ignites your creativity. What made me stand out as a writer professionally, was that I only wrote fashion focused articles. I combined two of my loves; Fashion, and Writing. I have a third love, which is Technology, but more on that later.

In the beginning you may be inspired to write due to the romanticism surrounding it. You envision being able to just sit in a cute little cafe, write and get paid in the hundreds, even thousands of dollars. All that is a reality, but those who are able to do that have been writing for a while. Many of you have the desire to write, but not the passion. Work on developing the passion for writing. I get to sit in a cute little cafe and write for good money, but it took me 10 years of writing constantly professionally, and in my free time.

It’s not until recently I decided to pursue writing more intensely, and become an author. According this article written for the HR Daily adviser; researchers suggest that it takes 10,000 hours toΒ master a skill, which translates to about 9 years (consider 5 days a week, spending 4 hours a day). Well then, I am a MASTER, but there’s always room for growth. Get to the point in your skill where the only person you need to top is yourself.

There are platforms that can help you get paid for your work, but there’s an art to it. Plenty of people writing, feel they’re at the level to get paid, and are not.Β Don’t just put up a gig on your chosen platform, get turned off when the money isn’t rolling in, then quit. Build skills to produce quality work that people will pay for. Take feedback, and improve day by day. You must develop a writer’s brain. Every chance you get should be an opportunity to write. After a while, you’ll be able to do everything in your head: outlines, points of discussion, and structure. You’re speed will improve too. Love the process of becoming great! ❀️‍πŸ”₯

So? Where do you start as a niche writer?

  • Write for yourself first!
  • Develop your passion; write about what you love!
  • Write for free, and about anything!
  • Use platforms to build a portfolio!

I’ll get into more details about becoming a writer in the near future by creating learning tools to help. This article is just a start, so rock with it! πŸ˜‰
