Update!!!

Hello,

Yes, recently Quinn Couture has undergone some new changes. For one, it’s not QuinnCouture.com any more. The new URL is QuinnCouture.org. I will be updating my other social media facets and accounts. Also, I will be posting a lot more often. I will be writing more insightful articles about fashion and I will also be doing book reviews so definitely keep up. I know in the past I’ve said that I would be posting more frequently and stopped, but this time I’m ready to be a lot more consistent with my post. Also I will be focusing on trying to write full-time as a career. Thats all

Thanks

The seasons colors… 2013 autumn winter

wpid-IMG_20130819_180052.jpg

So delighted to be playing around with different combinations of colors this season. For every season (winter/autumn) it’s always that one color that stands out. This year it’s an “orangy-ish” neon that looks amazing against the subtle colors that appear every year (walnut, caramel brown, black, etc). This seasons trends are pretty cool. Maybe I’ll talk about them in more detail, but for now just enjoy these pieces of yarn died to replicate this seasons most prevalent color trends…Fall/Winter, (why do I keep forgetting to mention that? :P

Keeping up on YOUR industry…

I’m always reading, and luckily when it comes to fashion, pretty pictures come with it. Currently I’m working on developing my company or business and although it’s tedious, I constantly work to learn something new. Like Photoshop for example; I’ve been practicing making textile designs for fabrics and it’s both frustrating and exciting.  Now I’m learning embroidery and knitting.  In fashion it’s so hard to find a good knitwear designer (・へ・) . Think of it this way; the more you know how to do,  the more money and time you save. Even if I have to supervise it’s still handy to know everyone’s job. As an entrepreneur you NEED to already get the gist of how things are done especially bookworm and accounting.  Next good read, Excel for business…  fun times <ˍ ˍ=”ˍ”>

Piggy Textile Design

PiggyPiggy

I decided to make a pig fabric pattern, Just something simple. I only did it in one color too. I just felt this was fitting. When it comes to digital, all I can think of is clean and simple. I’ve been so busy lately with work and planning that I haven’t gotten a chance to scan my latest work, but I will. I need to be more disciplined in posting. No matter what, I will be posting something.

This textile design was inspired by a doodle that came to my head. I’m actually sketching some hand drawn designs to incorporate with my digital ideas in my book. It looks very 70’s, but that could be because of my trip to the vintage store today. I was trying to find some inspiration for patterns and maybe just maybe that influenced this one a little bit? I have long term projects, short term, and minute projects; anything to help me flex my creative muscle. I believe your creativity is a muscle, it gets stronger with practice. I try to do a design everyday until it becomes my full-time job… to create every single day…create.
