Urban vs Couture fashion show Atlanta!

I had the pleasure of attending the Urban vs Couture Fashion Show brought to you by GATECITY MANAGEMENT in Atlanta Ga yesterday (April 19, 2014). There was so much to see and of course creative fashions to explore. There were also pop up shops with goodies and “body”‘ goodies too (accessories and clothes). I was sitting and typing but the show was about to begin. The audience was looking great and Traci from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta who was hosting looked great as well. One trend I’m noticing a lot is the crop top and skirt combo. Solid print or tribal pattern was seen on the runways and in the audience. There were theatrical openings, and a rapper performing during intermission. The end of the show featured the heavily couture segment, which unfortunately my tablet lost power, so I didn’t get the entire thing. I manage to take pics with my phone though and I will try to edit and post the best ones. All and all, I think it was an awesome show! I meant to post right after, but I got caught up at the after party. I’ll keep you posted on the next fashion show I will be attending . Also I will be posting my video footage on My YouTube channel, I will let you know when I do.

The Fierce and Fiery Fashion Competition…

The Fierce and Fiery Fashion Competition jumped off to a great start on January 18, 2014 at the Harlem Nights Ultra Lounge in Atlanta Ga. The production was organized by MVB promotions. The night was cool, but the fashion was definitely hot. The event showcased nine fashion designers and their collections. The designers featured were Belle Massacre, L’Dior Stylez Boutique, Vanity Voice, Inglishe King Couture, Accessories by Six, Sabbataj Fashions, Fashion MD, DLA Design Team, and Black Duchess. The models were stunning and created a fabulous sexy chic atmosphere. The show had so much variety; lingerie, casual wear, and even formal dresses. The designs were very creative, with classic silhouettes and bold color palettes. The judges were fabulous too! The panel had celebrity judge Rafael Cox, FRANCHIZE BOYZ (SO SO DEF), Tonie and Griff (from the Tonie and Griff show), Comedian Bo-P, and Terrence Davidson (celebrity stylist of clients like Nicki Minaji). The music was equally amazing. The host Sytonnia Moore of V-103 was awesome, and the music performance by Cash added a nice urban vibe to the sexy lingerie show sponsored by Amore! All and all I would say this fashion show was a great hit! Sabbataj Fashions was one of the two designers that won the fashion competition, and I was lucky enough to have a brief interview with her. She is a designer from New York who has recently moved to Atlanta. Her collections had clever detailing with happy face patches on the sleeves. She said was inspired by her boyfriend who passed. She also stated that the happy faces represented him in her collection. I personally loved her clothing. The sweaters where trendy with clear plastic on soft textured cotton. The monochrome color story of the collection made her designs very versatile. I happen to mention this designer to a couple of my online boutique retailers. They where interested in her designs, but only time will tell. She might be very busy soon. Who knows?
The Quirky Bombshell (me ;) ) had a wonderful time and was flattered to be invited to such an energetic and spirited event. Not bad for my first fashion show of the year huh? Check my calender, and see where I’ll be going next!
