Quirky Bombshell Services…

Hello, and thank you for taking the time to click and discover Quirky Bombshell Writing Services. I look forward to the summer heat AND the writing opportunities it brings. Apart from writing fashion related content, I will also be posting articles pertaining to other aspects of my industry. I do write beauty articles here and there, but mostly write ups promoting fashion events, and businesses dealing with fashion e-commerce. I don’t need to go through every package I offer, since they are available on Facebook and my link.  Instead I’d rather inform you on what’s to come for my website. I will be more interactive; posting more content about my fashion interest,  insight, and of course…ME ;P. Because after all, I am the Quirky Bombshell, and as a Fashion writer, I MUST represent…Thank you. 😜💋💄 👛👠💕❤

Fluidity and Careers in Fashion…

I decided to do  a bit more content regarding the industry in terms of career. I see the need is more prevalent than ever before. When it comes to fashion, it’s all about evolving. NEVER EVER close yourself into any kind of bracket. For all those starting out and attending college; please understand that once you get into the actual industry, you’ll find there’s so much more to it than you thought.  For example, you may think you’re just good at fashion design, or that’s all you ever want to pursue. When you actually start working, it might not be what you expected. The glamour disappears and all you experience is the grit and grind of deadlines and demands. You’ll love it, but certain things may take its toll on you. After a while you’ll get burnt out, so you become a photographer. You travel, make lots of money, and work with fabulous people. Next you’ll discover you love styling, and the cycle repeats itself.  In case you’re wondering, I’m not speaking from experience. Although I had adventures (briefly) as a fashion designer. My point is this; set yourself up to be fluid. As for a road map; make one up. Don’t walk down other peoples path. I’m not gonna leave you hanging though. Here are a few tips that will help your ride become less bumpy:

Get A Degree – A.A. or B.A. will do. You’ll find a lot of people don’t have degrees who work in prominent positions in fashion. What you should keep in mind is the time they got on board. In this day and age, having secondary education (i.e degrees) will make you more viable, and help you gain a decent salary. You also meet lots of connections in college, and teachers; who will refer you for internships or resume building projects. You don’t need a degree to work in fashion, but having one is a great way to break into the work force. Remember, college is a learning environment; real world mistakes costs time, money, and energy.

Persistence – Everybody loses… I say this because I guarantee you’ll get rejected at some point or another. It happens to the best of us; trust me I know. The only thing that will keep you going is a positive outlook. Rejection is supposed to make you work harder and gain determination. Use rejection as fuel to ignite that fire within that drives your passion to succeed. DON’T BE CUT THROAT; it’ll come back somehow. Understand that every dog has his day. That opportunity isn’t for you, but yours will come…Duh.

Humbleness –  So many egos; that’s the problem with the fashion industry. That’s ONE of the problems. When you venture onto the scene, realize that you DON’T know everything, and you won’t know for a while. It’s O.k. because the REAL lessons come after college anyway. Be open to learn and don’t act like you’re doing anyone a favor. Industry professionals love energetic and eager fashion minded individuals, but a holier than thou attitude will be your undoing.  You will be untouchable, and not in a good way. Don’t brown nose either, just be yourself.

That’s it for now!  Let me know what you think of this article! I have a lot more insight to share, so please follow me on my social media, especially Facebook and Instagram for updates.

Organic Inspiration…

Just thought I’d post a little color inspiration. Love this; it’s not trending but these colors are fun and energetic. This combination could definitely work for Spring/Summer 2018. Actually, you know what? Forget the old theories and wear what you want! At the end of the day, what’s on the streets rules supreme!

Lets Talk PVC

PVC Fashion
As of late, I’ve been reading  fashion reports indicating that the next big trend is PVC clothing. It’s clothing that’s made of Plastic-Coated fabric, or Vinyl. As you can see above, these items can either be colored or transparent. I love pops of color;  the colored rain coats and clear decal boots tend to draw me in. For anyone who isn’t too daring with fashion, the transparent pieces with bold trim would be the best way to go; easy to style and no fuss. Of course, PVC accessories have to same versatility. You can’t go wrong with transparent fashion.
