If you find yourself out of the writing flow, understand that it’s not about having a block. It’s easy to get in your own head as a writer, or even someone who loves to write. Growing up, I had a journal. I wrote in it 24/7, and made sure I didn’t skip a day. I would only miss writing if I wasn’t feeling well. I had a journal for almost every year of my life. The writing flow for me was the flow of life. For those who find themselves struggling to write or keep inspired; my advice is to connect it to yourself personally. It can’t just be a journal entry, it has to be something that you must do to feel complete. You must look forward to it. Most authors who have a busy family life make writing the leisure they look forward to after a hard day’s work. Your mindset has to change. You can’t look at writing as a chore. It’s a muscle that you must work out. Just like getting fit, you have to work that creative muscle to great fitness, and it won’t happen overnight. Don’t care about how long it will take for you to become a master writer, just think of the end result. Writing is a freedom that everyone can enjoy…but make it your own. Write to inform, entertain, inspire…just write.
It’s difficult to admit when you don’t know what to post on your own blog. Sadly that’s been the case since I started it. Just posting random things that come to mind is not productive, and essentially a waste of time. I can honestly say I’m still in that realm of ‘nothingness’. It’s funny how I’m a wealth of ideas and knowledge for other people’s businesses and sites, but when it comes to writing for MYSELF, I have nothing to say. WELL, that’s going to change. The best way to kill this vibe is to get inspired!
So clearly fashion inspires me the most. Here, I’ll start with this random picture I found online:
This is inspirational for obvious reasons. I’m a lover of retro style, although I was in elementary school during the height of 80’s fashion; I still like to dress that way now and mix together the most eclectic quirky bombshell-esque looks. See? Now the inspiration is driving me in another direction, which is this:
Segwayed into showing off my amateur GIMP skills, which can then become a GIMP tutorial:
Will I do a GIMP tutorial? No, but that’s the point I’m making. Once you start, just let whatever you’re doing lead you. It’s alright to feel stuck, but not doing anything about it, is the only wrong thing you can do. :)
My second novel is now available on AMAZON! It took a lot of work for me to produce, but af rolex submariner 116619lb 97209 mens rolex calibre 2836 2813 hands and markers it was well worth it. I decided to write a murder mystery novel, with a focus on fashion. I started writing it in 2020, since I was quarantine. I was actually in the middle of writing another book, when the clean rolex daytona 40mm mens 116519 black dial silver tone inspiration struck. I stopped writing the manuscript I was working on (which I eventually did finish), and started writing Midnight valentino 71981 men fashionable sports shoes Goldust. I finished the manuscript, but the evolution took a year, and I am so happy now, that it’s ready for you to read.
Hello followers of my website quirkybombshell.com. I have an announcement to make. My new website nekabrown.com will be my new AUTHOR PAGE. I am an author and niche Fashion writer, but I am first and foremost NEKA. Quirky Bombshell is my personality really. With that said, I’ll be sure to keep you up to date on all my projects, including the one soon to be released. Just an UPDATE ;) Take care.
It would make sense for me to write about fashion, right? I’m a fashion writer. I really am thinking of dropping the ‘fashion’ part, just because I don’t want it to limit me. I love to write, and fashion is the medium I use to pull the WILLPOWER out of me, to work my hardest, and do the best work I can. I think that without it; I’m still a great writer. That’s just a thought I have rattling around in my head about being a writer. I don’t want one day to write a novel that doesn’t have a fashion theme and be called out for it. I probably will still though… I don’t know? Time will tell, but for now; I am a niche writer, who needs to post something related to her niche…which is FASHION. So…
Recently; I’ve been seeing people leave Footlocker in the droves, with bags containing? It’s boxy, so yes shoes, but what’s with the traffic? Why are people running to the monochromatic iconic retailer so consistently?
These are a classic sneaker that’s mostly affordable, and never go out of style. The young dominant shoppers today don’t necessarily care about trends. They’re more for functionality, and affordability. These sneakers can be worn to work and in everyday life. I like them because the older they are, the better they look. With so many variations available; there’s a style for everyone. I even owned a pair at one point. Eventually, I grew out of it. I’m a lot older now, and need something that worked with everything casual and really retro…. it’s my converse; in case you’re wondering π.
I can’t claim 80’s. I was a baby in that decade, but the chunky sole reminds me of 90’s fashion, which was being worn in my teens. π… I was praying it would go away by now. It’s a strong trend, that’s works on everyone else but me… but I digress. Currently; Doc Martin’s and the like with chunkier than the chunkiest rubber soles are selling out fast. Wait… I can’t say I don’t like chunky. The chunky soled sandals are cute. I can pull those off. I’m going off subject, but yeah…chunky sole sneakers are poppin’ and continue to be the hottest sneaker silhouette trend thus far.
Note: These aren’t sold at Footlocker as far as I know. I posted the link. They have Chunky Sneakers though…π
Pick your brand: Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Converse, etc; all in white will do. And it’s said to be a color people hate because of the upkeep; that’s not the case at all. They’re in demand, and everyone is wearing them. And again; this is another type of sneaker that looks better the older they are. As they age with the scuffs and such; it just looks cool. Casual and relaxed is the sensibility of the times. People are wearing pajama pants with sweaters and hoodies. It’s warming up right now, and soon they’ll be wearing this trend with denim and those trending flouncy shorts with the waist yolk. I’ve never liked them, but the way it’s styled is really cute. I’m old school retro; still wearing cropped leather jackets with shoulder pads. π
I just wanted to talk about three, but there will be more Fashion Posts, because after all…I’m a fashion writer. I do it for others, so why not myself?
